Editorial draft available to read. Factual and language review is pending. Examples are illustrative.
Capture wording and context
Record the words used, sales stage, service and respondent’s role. Separate the statement from the salesperson’s interpretation. “We need to review it” might indicate a dependency, missing information or simply an undecided buyer; it does not establish a psychological motive.
Group without erasing differences
Use operational categories such as scope, trust, priority, budget and implementation capacity. Allow multiple labels. Retain contradictory examples and the number of observed conversations. Categories should lead to different actions; if every action is a discount, reconsider the analysis.
Test a specific response
Example: “We do not know who will update the site” can be addressed through included roles and training. Check whether that answered the concern without claiming it caused the sale. Accept copy that is accurate, deliverable and clear about client dependencies; retain failures too.
Key takeaways
- Tie each objection to a conversation and a specific decision.
